About Origami
Origami is a console based management tool which aims to simplify installation, management and removal of Folding@Home clients on Linux. Origami has been tested and should be supported by most major Linux distributions, with plans for FreeBSD and Apple OS X in the future. This tool has been designed with a “set-it-and-forget-it” mindset, allowing you to install Folding@Home and simply let it run. You can easily check your progress with a single command, archive and backup your current work, start or stop the process—even easily activate a scheduler to only run Folding@Home during certain hours!
About Folding@Home
Folding@Home is a distributed computing project -- people from throughout the world download and run software to band together to make one of the largest supercomputers in the world. Every computer takes the project closer to our goals. Folding@home uses novel computational methods coupled to distributed computing, to simulate problems millions of times more challenging than previously achieved.
